Guideline on How to choose Your Head Scarves

Salam everyone,

Women, nowadays, not only are so into those kind of latest design of scarf (tudung) but the style on how to wear it. From “easy tudung”, “ikan sembilang” and now “Hana Tajima” fever. Can we really wearing it, or styling it? Islam has guideline on how to choose your scarf (tudung).

Today's topic is based on Al- Quran [24:31]

walyadribna bikhumurihinna ala juyubihinna
to draw their [head]scarves (وليضربن بخمرهن = walyadribna bikhumurihinna) over their chests (على جيوبهن = ‘ala juyubihinna)

The way we wearing it must based on 4 criteria and his talk can be summarized as the following :

*in Malay coz I’m afraid I might not write it  in a proper way if I write it in English

1. walyadribna
     - jgn nampak perhiasan tersembunyi
     - kena ada tudung/inner yg tutup dada

2. khumur  (Terselindung)
    - tak boleh transparent/jarang
    - longgar
    - tersembunyi *jgn nampak telinga
    - mesti menyeliputi/menutupi (tutup semua)

3. ala (atas)
    - tudung kena atas dada

4. juyubihinna (dada² mereka)

    – tudung kena tutup dada

So what are we waiting for? we already have the guideline.. its not too late to change, and those who already wearing it, lets ISTIQAMAH.. Like what Adibah Awg said "its ok to be fashionable but Just put Islam before fashion"
